The Client
Is a large reputable 3PL Provider providing nationwide supply chain management services to a diverse range of companies across the UK.
The Opportunity
They are now on the lookout for a Senior HR Advisor to manage two sites. One in Burton on Trent (This will be your base) and an other in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to really develop your career, as there will be scope for your HR Careerdevelopment. Whilst a stand alone role (with your own office) you will have the support and lean to of the wider HR Team based across the UK on various sites.
The Role
You will be required to provide professional HR support to their operational teams across the 2 sites to enable the delivery of the companies business goals.
This role will support the Head of HR to develop and deliver a comprehensive HR service ensuring a flexible, corporate and holistic approach. And the Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for driving HR improvements by delivering agreed key HR Projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Advise managers in all aspects of HR, employment, employment policy, employee relations, pay and benefits, holiday pay and entitlements, working time, consultations, terminations, flexible working requests, mediation, etc in line with company employment policies,any agreed Client specific policies, employment law and good practice
- Support the Head of HR in the development, revision and implementation of employment policies and contracts of employment in line with legislative changes for example, Flexible Working, Equality, Drugs & Alcohol, Wellbeing, Family Friendly, Data protection/GDPR,Social Media, Performance Management
- Set up and maintain employee records and provide the Head of HR and local Managers with accurate and relevant workforce information
- Produce and manage all HR related documentation, ensuring effective and supportive correspondence is produced and managed for all HR matters
- Provide staff with information on their terms and conditions of service
- Ensure contractual changes to individual employee records are processed efficiently within agreed timescales, liaising with managers, and payroll, as appropriate and ensuring GDPR compliance is maintained at all times
- Support managers with advice and have a positive HR presence, to effectively plan for, and implement organisation changes
- Assist with the review and streamlining of an efficient onboarding process
- Support managers with the co-ordination and completion of probationary reviews in line with agreed timescales
- Assist with developing an Employer Brand so that the company becomes an employer of choice
- Collaborate with the Head of HR to source and or/devise training programmes for managers that enhance people and professional management and leadership and to deliver these training sessions as required
- Host regular "Meet the Teams" workshops to gain feedback from employees, create reports, analyse results and work in conjunction with Managers to create/implement action plans to improve employee engagement
- Positively promote equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment for staff in accordance with company policies
- Support managers to reduce sickness absence and contribute to greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness

- CIPD level 5 qualification or above (ideally Level 7)
- HR advisory & support experience, complex HR issues, change management and conflict management
- Experience of writing clear processes, procedures, policies
- Good with IT & Systems
- Highly organised, strong attention to detail and planning skills
- Strong creative problem-solving capabilities and commercial awareness
- Ideally, experience of working within the Transport, Warehousing and/or Logistics sector
- Current with HR changes and Employment law knowledge
- Strong communicator, confident to handle all situations in a fast-paced environment
- Well presented with a professional manner
- Driver with own car, flexible to travel to other sites
