**The Position**

Galliard Homes is currently looking to recruit a Tax Manager on a Fixed-Term Contract for Maternity Cover to join our Finance team based in our Head Office in Loughton, Essex. We are open to the successful applicant working on a full-time or part-time basisduring this maternity cover period.

The Galliard Homes Group consists of c250 companies within a complex group structure involving various types of entity and degree of ownership. Individual SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles) are used to administer development projects that the Group undertakes,which are either UK limited companies or LLPs. The majority of these vehicles are 100% owned but some are part owned or operated as Joint Ventures.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

- Preparation and filing of all group corporation tax returns and partnership tax returns including compliance with the RPDT legislation
- Calculation and submission of group and consortium relief claims
- Preparation and filing of corporate interest restriction returns
- Maintenance and control of the group payment arrangement
- Calculation of all quarterly instalment payments including payments under RPDT
- Preparing and submitting the Group's SAO documentation
- Monitoring of losses in view of current loss relief restrictions
- Year-end tax provisioning and tax consolidation
- Assisting with tax advice for acquisitions and disposals, including carrying out Tax due diligence
- Maintaining the groups tax risk assurance matrix and other risk registers
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance with IR35/off payroll working requirements
- Maintaining and monitoring overseas PE risk
- Compliance under Short Term Business Visitor (STBV) rules
- Submitting quarterly CT61's for income taxes withheld and preparing withholding tax certificates
- Formulating and implementing procedures to manage and control the above obligations
- Responding to HMRC queries arising from any corporate tax submissions
- Dealing with ad hoc tax issues and employment tax queries

**The Person**
- Qualified with at least 5 year's PQE in industry (preferably in the house building/construction sector)
- Up-to-date working knowledge of current corporation tax legislation
- Strong corporation tax compliance background
- Good experience with large groups of companies
- Extremely computer literate (not just basics)
- Attention to detail
- Experience of managing a team
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data
- Excellent communication skills
