Premier Galvanizing are currently looking for a night time general operative to join our site in Hull.

We are recruiting for night general operatives to join our team working within our large galvanizing and powder coating plant on the full process systems from initial jigging of product through to galvanizing baths and final finishing in the fettling bay.

Located in the East Ridings of Yorkshire, our Hull plant is modern and technically advanced, servicing the needs of steel fabricators in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Teeside and the North East.

Your day to day
- General handling of steel products.
- Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
- Operation of overhead crane equipment.
- Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
- Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

What we are looking for:

- Positive people with a can do attitude.
- Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.

What we offer
- Overtime is often available at weekends paid at time and a half.
- Shared weekly bonus pool, join after initial 12 week trial potential of earning over £100 extra per week
- 40 hours per week (7 ½ working day with ½ paid break)
- Rate £10.00 per hour
- Night Enhancement £16.00 per shift
- Overtime Time and half
- Bonus After 12 week trial
- Holidays 25 days per year + bank holidays
