Our client, a local independent and successful supplier in the construction industry, are looking for an experienced and extremely driven Plant Mechanic.

The Plant & Tool Hire team are looking for a reliable, hardworking team player who will take responsibility for the cleaning and inspections of the plant and equipment. This role includes inspecting, servicing and cleaning machines such as diggers, dumpersand rollers, making sure they are ready to re-hire as quickly as possible. This is a responsible role which requires mechanical knowledge, tough physical grind, trust and clear communication

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Inspecting, maintaining & cleaning plant such as diggers, dumpers and rollers and routine maintenance of small tools such as breakers, compactor plates and mixers
- Repairs, breakdowns and fault finding on plant etc.
- Keeping the workshop and plant hire yard tidy and in good order
- Assist with cover for Tool Fitter and Yard Assistant when required
- Other daily tasks as requested by your line manager Skills, Experience & Personality:

- Used to and happy to work out side in all weather conditions if required
- Competent use of IT - essential
- Standard UK Driving License - essential
- Forklift License - preferable
- Confident and proactive, able to take the initiative and resolve issues
- Team player who can communicate well and work closely with others
- Good face-to-face manner and able to remain professional under pressure.
