KITTER/TEST OPERATIVE

OPERATIVE - within Weld department
Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 Hours (38 hours/week)
Reporting To:
MANUFACTURING MANAGER
Responsible for/Duties (full training will be given):
- Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is air under water pressure test product after weld process with regards to Bearward’s procedures and specifications in accordance with Company standards, specifically;
- Adherence to H&S policy
- Checking quality of parts before and after process
- Grinding/fettling product
- Kitting parts to line as drawing instructions
- Checking squareness of welded components and overall appearance of goods
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- To fully implement the concept of lean and 5S manufacturing
Person Specification
Key Skills, Competencies and Personal Attributes:
Ability to read drawings - training will be provided
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and plan effectively
Ability to work to tight deadlines
An organised and self-motivated team player with a positive can-do attitude
Ability to follow processes, especially health and safety/manual handling
Willingness to work flexibility
Good communication skills
Practical, hands on person
