**What you’ll be doing**
Joining a fast paced, dedicated, hardworking team, the role of the FIRST® LEGO® League Project Coordinator is to coordinate the IET Education 5-19 department’s running of the FIRST® LEGO® League in the North East region as part of a new partnership withSage. This includes those products and projects that come within it, as directed by the IET FIRST® LEGO® League Education Manager in accordance with current IET strategy, policy, standards and methodology.

**A little more about the role**
- Coordinate the delivery of the annual _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League season in the North East region.
- Work with IET’s _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League Education Manager to deliver _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League as per IET Education 5-19 business plan objectives.
- To be the main contact point for Sage, schools, other participating groups, volunteers and the academic and industry partners connected with the delivery of the _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League Sage project.
- To ensure that all stakeholders involved in the Sage project are able and equipped to deliver or participate in _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League.
- Work closely with the _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League Programme Coordinators/Managers to provide administration support for schools, other participating groups, volunteers and the academic and industry partners connected with the delivery of the _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League Sage project. Including:
- Coordinate the process for recruiting sponsored schools, including the preparation and management of contracts, registration of teams and ordering the despatch of appropriate equipment.
- Being the main point of contact for sponsored schools, to introduce them to their sponsor representative as required and to facilitate their support through the season.
- Coordinate the distribution of evaluations to all participating schools and monitor their return. To input the statistical data onto the system and to collate it for reporting purposes.
- Coordinate the registration of participants or volunteers at _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League events e.g. training days, webinars, demonstration or showcase events as part of the Sage project.
- To manage the Sage budget on a day to day basis ensuring the project spend remains within agreed limits.
- Work with the _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League Education Manager and the marketing, social media and website teams to ensure the effective marketing of the _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League programme in the North East region as part of the Sage project.
- Represent the IET at _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League events around the UK and Ireland and support the effective delivery of these events.
- Attend and support all Education and _FIRST®_ LEGO_®_ League team meetings.
- To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager.
- To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the organisation and to attend mandatory updates where required.
- To comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties.
- To comply with the IET’s safeguarding policy and act responsibly on all matters of safeguarding both internally and to third parties.
- To take on general team responsibilities such as covering phones, staffing IET stands at conferences etc.
**A little more about what we’re looking for**
- Good experience of running and preferably leading activities within timescale
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including excellent verbal (including public speaking to large audiences) and written communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with contract documentation and spreadsheets/data
- Budget management experience
- Stakeholder management experience
- Fully IT literate with excellent skills using MS Office particularly Excel and mail merge.
- Good problem-solving skills with an ability to think laterally and creatively to find solutions
- Systematic, flexible and responsive to new issues
- Credibility to work with Science, Maths and Design & Technology teachers, lecturers and academics, other educators, STEM Ambassadors and those working in STEM Enhancement and Enrichment activities
- Preparedness to travel particularly within the UK and Ireland
- Ability to motivate others
- Minimum GCSE English and Maths grade B or above
