Mental Health is a high priority for this local authority and in an effort to bridge any gaps and ensure support is provided to all who need it, the local authority has recently commissioned a consultation service for children and young people who don'tmeet CAMHs requirements. Other themes the CP team encounters are domestic abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, CSE, and low-level gang activity. Caseloads are currently averaging around 16 making your work load much more manageable than surrounding areas.

The local authority is extremely flexible with hybrid working giving you the ability to manage your diary around family life as well. The only days you are required in the office are for duty days which will be on a rota and you will also be given a parkingpermit for the locality, as well as free parking designated for social workers at the office.
