**Where and when do we need you?**
We are looking for passionate Children's Residential Support workers to work at Manor Farm Cottage. MFC is an Ofsted registered independent children’s home offering residential care for children & young people aged 7-18 years with social, emotional and mental health needs. The home offers a model of care and education based on PACE and the House Model of Parenting, which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. This position focuses on developing independent life skills within a therapeutic care environment.
As a Support Worker you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:
- Contributing to the mentoring and education of children and young people who can display challenging behaviour.
- Encouraging the development of independent life skills within a therapeutic caring environment.
- Taking part in a range of activities which our children enjoy, this may include swimming, music, camping, rock climbing, horse riding, canoeing and day trips to local centres
- Working with amazing children and playing your part in keeping them safe.
- Understanding the importance of being able to make a house feel like a home.
- Being part of an amazing team working together to achieve the best outcomes possible for our young people.
**Desirable. but not Essential**
Whilst we value the knowledge and understanding that experience and qualifications can bring we also know that some of our best people have come to us from unrelated backgrounds. These people already held our core values at heart, and with the dedication of our amazing in house training and development team, we have supported the rest
- Previous experience of working with young people and/or adults with health/social care/educational needs
- A Level 3 qualification in childcare/social care
