**Principal Electrical Engineer - Automotive Industry**

**£55,000 - £68,000 + Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs + Flexitime + Holiday + Pension + Company Benefits**
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer from an Automotive or Motorsport background looking for an exciting new position that will enable you to grow and influence your own division of Electrical Engineers?
Do you want to work on complex and varied projects at a prestigious and well-respected Engineering consultancy?
The company are industry-leaders in the Automotive and Motorsport sectors and are looking for an individual to provide day-to-day management of a newly formed Electrical Engineering Division. In addition to a competitive motorsport division that has featuredin competitions like Le Mans and the GT1 World Championships, they are recognised as market-leaders throughout the Automotive sector.
In this role, you will utilise your industry experience and expert technical knowledge to provide direct input at all stages of the design and development process. You will be responsible for leading the electrical team and provide solutions in accordance withsafety, environmental and technical standards.
With genuine progression prospects into the Head of Engineering and Director roles, this role would suit an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to stay involved in design and manufacturing projects whilst also shaping an Electrical Engineering Division.
**The Role**:

- Oversee the design, implementation and testing of electrical systems for automotive projects.
- Leading and growing the electrical engineering team to eventually become a self-sufficient division within the company.
- Reports directly into the Chief Design Engineer and will play a key role in the consultancy's function.

**The Person**:

- Have an in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, BEV platforms, Electrical Distribution Systems and their subcomponents.
- Have a proven track record in delivering successful projects according to specific and complex requirements.
- Hold a degree, or similar qualification, in Electrical Engineering and 5 years' experience in the automotive sector.
