**Job Description**:
As the commercial director for Eurofins Biomnis UK, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the business' commercial strategy nationwide, managing a team of sales & marketing managers. Specifically, you will
- Leverage business value drivers to identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share through new products and service expansion to both current clients and emerging markets
- Manage and develop the sales and marketing team, empowering them to achieve their goals and further professional development
- Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained
- Undertake market research and analysis and produce business plans/recommendations that include costs / forecasted sales / profit levels
- Work with the Technical Development Team to understand the strategy and plan; undertake market research and promote each new service development to enable it to become a core part of the business
- Represent the company externally e.g. at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimize all business development opportunities
- Maintain an awareness of external factors (including competitors, market developments, government business initiatives, legislation in relation to commercial activities). Communicate such information to the Senior Management Team
- Develop relationships with the wider Eurofins business to leverage the scale and capability of the global business
- Implement business disciplines including sales forecasting, CRM, NPS and others to support and enhance Eurofins offering
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years' experience in commercial roles, including team and national strategic management experience
- A strong network within the NHS or other public sector tendering required
- A good understanding of our key clients; hospital and pharmaceutical groups, clinics, medical insurance providers, etc.
- Previous experience in clinical diagnostics preferred
