Do you have experience of building surveys, working in a trade or have a background in construction? If you can answer yes to one of the above, then your experience could be ideal in taking a step into a career as a Property Inspector. This position has become available as a result of internal career progression and would enable you as an individual to help improve customers lives directly by helping collect the information we need to determine property improvement schedules. Previous residential property surveying experience is desirable. This role may also be an ideal career opportunity for an individual looking to bring their experience of construction or a trade into a surveying-based role.

Each day in this key role you will add value by providing recommendations on properties, considering their condition, their health and safety rating and energy efficiencies. Collecting information on our stock your work will help identify properties where remedial activities need to be targeted. We have a clear mission to improve our customers lives and by providing a customer focused surveying service we can ensure our housing stock supports this.

In this role you will cover the Midlands (Birmingham, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire) and will support predominantly with property and site surveys and occasionally end of lease surveys, dilapidations surveys or other technical surveys as required and produce associated costed schedules of work. Your work will see you meeting customers in their homes and focusing your surveying experience and knowledge on assessing residential property.

You’ll need to possess a strong customer service ethic and be comfortable working with residents to schedule in your surveys with them. To be successful in this role you will need to have an understanding of how a property is constructed. We welcome applicants who may have experience of property installations, plumbing, electrics, general construction, or prior surveying experience to apply. Through this role you will develop a working knowledge of HHSRS assessments, asset management and surveying experience. You will also have the opportunity to learn about DEA accreditation in order to carry out EPC surveys

This role is offered on a permanent 36.25hr per week basis and will require the successful applicant to be flexible in travelling across their designated region.
