As a Lead Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in community vet care, you will be based at our village branch clinic in Pulborough where we deliver exceptional, personalised continuity of care to our patients. The interior design in our clinics provides a warm, comforting, home-from-home feeling. It’s hard to put into words, but you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through the door.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with practical experience in veterinary medicine and diagnostics. It would be advantageous if you have previous leadership and/or sole charge experience and are familiar with working towards KPIs and leading a stable and consistent branch team. We are committed to developing vets with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to enhancing their skills.

Your benefits will include generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available); standard pension benefit; 40% staff discount for own pets; generous holiday (7 weeks, including bank holidays) and occupational health resources, including mental health support. If required, you will also benefit from enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%) and enhanced sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%).

Rota

4-day week, 10 hour working shifts (various shift times between 7.30am-7.30pm), totalling 40 hours. 1 hour lunch break. Equal rota (1 in 6) for emergency care over weekends and bank holidays. 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked. We may consider part-time applicants for this role and have an open-minded approach to flexible working requests.

£45,000 to £65,000+ pa depending on level of experience/certificates/AP status
