Join the Legal Department within the Technology Sector where you will provide comprehensive legal advice across various areas, ensuring the safeguarding of company interests and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role is crucial for representing in the UK & Ireland, dealing with external partners, and steering external law firms as necessary. You will be part of an expanding Legal Region team, collaborating with lawyers across multiple jurisdictions.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide business-oriented legal advice to all levels of management and staff.
- Monitor, research, and address legal issues within the company.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and corporate documents, including corporate resolutions and accompanying legal documentation.
- Ensure the implementation of internal policies and develop risk mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with the global Allianz Technology Legal community to enhance practices and procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional teams in line with evolving business needs and the regulatory environment.
- Conduct training sessions on legal matters.
- Monitor legislative processes both nationally and internationally, advising on necessary implementation steps at Allianz Technology SE.
- Oversee and steer external legal counsel where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an in-house lawyer in an international company or as a solicitor in an international law firm, focusing on commercial law, ideally within the financial services sector.
- Admitted to practise law in England and Wales, with admission in Ireland being an advantage.
- Knowledge of IT law and associated supervisory law in insurance companies is advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of the business environment and ability to work in an international context.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, well-organized, with strong negotiation skills and an analytical approach.
- Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted advisor to local management.
