JOB PURPOSE

Our client are currently looking for top-flight Groundcare Service Engineers to join our client's Service Departments in Guildford. You would be joining a very knowledgeable and friendly team. Whilst the work is technically challenging, our client look to provide a well-structured training program. Much of the repair and service work is carried out on-site ,so a fully expensed vehicle will be provided. The mainly mobile role means that every day is different, but you still retain the support of the base. The majority of their work tends to be with contractors, councils, schools, golf courses and private estates.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Repair and service a variety of groundcare machinery

Repair, maintain and service fine turf machinery

Have a knowledge of Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics and hydraulics

Duringquieter times you may be expected to complete some workshop based servicing.

Dealing withcustomers as youll be speaking to many of them about the service, repair, diagnostic or warranty work that you have undertaken and ensuring they are happy with the job before moving on to the next.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in the agriculture, groundcare or fine turf industry would be ideal but product training is provided. You will already have a solid foundation, ideally possessing a good knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics and hydraulics - many of these skills will be interchangeable from related industries.

Full UK Driving licence.

Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics and hydraulics

Excellent customer service skills

Maths and English to GCSE level.

A qualification in land-based or mechanical engineering.
