Job Description:

NRL is partnering with a forward-thinking and established company in search of a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team. What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Lead and manage engineering projects: Take ownership of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring successful and timely completion. You will oversee the coordination of multiple teams, ensuring quality standards, budgets, and timelines are met.
  2. Provide technical expertise and leadership: Offer valuable technical guidance on complex engineering challenges, helping to resolve design and implementation issues, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.
  3. Oversee design and development: Lead the creation of structural plans, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring designs are robust, safe, and aligned with industry standards.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure solutions align with project goals and requirements, fostering effective collaboration across teams.
  5. Conduct site visits and inspections: Regularly assess project sites to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any emerging issues, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety at all times.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and innovations, ensuring your team and projects remain at the forefront of engineering excellence.

What You Could Have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred), with a proven track record of success in civil and structural engineering.
  2. Extensive experience in managing civil and structural engineering projects, with a strong background in overseeing large, complex projects and delivering them on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  3. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and provide clear direction and technical advice.
  4. Problem-solving ability: You'll need to be a strong critical thinker with the ability to identify complex engineering issues and develop effective solutions, making sound decisions in challenging situations.
  5. A proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet or exceed project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
