OPEN-IBD Gastroenterology Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and the Western General Hospital.
Fixed Term Contract - 3 Years.
Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.
The Opportunity:
We are looking to appoint a clinical research fellow in Inflammatory Bowel Disease with a view to completing a 3-year PhD in the Centre for Genomic and Experimental Medicine, at The University of Edinburgh. This post is fully funded for 3 years through the OPEN-IBD project that brings together 7 sites in the UK with the Wellcome Sanger Institute in a collaboration to recruit 2,000 patients with suspected IBD and collect biologic samples at the time of diagnosis to create a unique inception cohort and biorepository for further research.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £48,287 to £68,710 per annum.

- GI/IBD clinical experience

The Centre for Genomic and Experimental Medicine is part of the Institute of Genetics and Cancer (IGC). This partnership with MRC Human Genetics Unit and CRUK Edinburgh Centre aims to understand development and disease by using the latest developments in genetic, genomic, cellular and clinical science.
