We are looking to add to our finance team and are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to look after all reporting requirements for an Echo Business Unit.This role will suit part or newly qualified candidates looking for an all-round Management Accounting opportunity.The RolePreparation of month end management accounts for an Echo Business Unit, to include:Calculation of accruals and prepaymentsJournal posting in OraclePreparation of the monthly P&L positionPreparation of month end balance sheet reconciliationsAnalysis of actual results against budget and forecast, providing commentary on key variances.Preparation of financial performance by product, region and customer. Review of monthly results with the Senior Finance Manager for the Echo Business Unit.Ad hoc finance administration related to the Echo Business Unit. Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecast for the Echo Business Unit. Ongoing review of financial processes and controls, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.First point of contact for accounting queries relating to the Echo Business Unit.Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with ad hoc requests for information where required.Cross skilling with other Echo Management Accountant roles so cover can be provided as required.What You’ll NeedCCAB Part or Newly Qualified Enthusiasm and a desire to continue your studies towards a professional qualification Strong excel skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Familiarity with computer-based finance packages (Oracle or Xero experience would be beneficial but not essential).Speed and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Team player mindset and excellent communication skills.Flexible working attitude.Ability to maintain confidentiality.What You’ll Get In ReturnCompetitive salary up to £45,000 pro rata Study package after completion of probationary periodHybrid working - 3 days per week typically in the office, subject to variation based on business needOpportunity to work in an international company with possibilities for travel.Collaborate with diverse teams within the larger Group.Free onsite parking Onsite GymWho We AreEcho is part of South Staffordshire PLC, an integrated services group behind South Staffs and Cambridge Water along with a range of other non-regulated services and products to essential services operators and markets.
