Construction Project Manager – Leading Sustainable Modular Housing

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager on behalf of our client to join their growing team and help deliver a strong pipeline of projects. If you are an experienced project manager with a background in modular or residential construction and a passion for sustainability, this role is for you. You will play a pivotal role in delivering projects across all RIBA Stages, ensuring efficiency, quality, and environmental excellence. Comprehensive training in bespoke project management systems and processes will be provided.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead & Manage the construction of projects from inception to completion (RIBA Stages 1-7).
  • Project Planning: Prepare project briefs, execution plans, and BIM execution plans in alignment with company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to ensure technical and design requirements are met.
  • Budget & Contracts: Coordinate with the commercial team to ensure cost plans, project appointments, and contracts are managed effectively.
  • Scheduling & Risk Management: Develop construction programs, allocate resources, and proactively mitigate risks and issues.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with third parties and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • On-Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve challenges, maintain quality, and ensure health & safety compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects meet all statutory obligations, environmental standards, and building regulations.
  • Reporting & Meetings: Provide regular progress updates to the Operations Director and clients, chair project meetings, and document minutes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate project teams, fostering collaboration and productivity.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational Background: Degree or HND in a relevant construction-related discipline (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or similar).
  • Project Management Experience: Proven expertise in construction project management, particularly within modular housing or sustainable building sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management software, and BIM.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, manage, and coordinate a diverse team of professionals.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of building regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainability best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Passion for Sustainability: A strong interest in sustainable design and construction practices.
  • Certifications: CSCS Card.
  • Additional Requirements: Full UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK.
