This role focuses on team leadership, process improvement and strategic account management, balancing oversight of a sales function with personal management of key relationships and large-scale opportunities.Responsibilities:Sales DeliveryManage strategic accounts and large relationships, including major tenders and championship-level opportunitiesMonitor daily and monthly sales performance KPIs across all teams, including sales value, SLA’s, and pipeline activitySupport Business Development Managers and Technical Sales team on complex, high-value opportunitiesLiaise with technical teams to translate customer requirements and ensure solutions are fit-for-purposeDevelop pricing strategies in collaboration with the CEO, maintaining authority over pricing approvals within agreed parametersAct as the bridge between technical experts and commercial needsTeam LeadershipProvide strategic oversight and coaching to Business Development Managers operating across global championshipsManage and develop a team of Sales Administrators, providing hands-on support as they develop with their rolesCoordinate and support Technical Sales team in managing complex specifications and cross-functional collaborationOptimize communications across internal sales teamsConduct regular 1:1s and annual performance reviews across the sales functionContribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hiresFoster a culture of technical curiosity and customer-centricity within the teamProcess & ImprovementLead the modernisation of the sales process, with particular focus on CRM adoption, pipeline management, and proposal automationDevelop and Implement sales strategies, adapting them into practical daily routines across all sales channelsStandardise best practice sales processes and ensure consistent adoption across BDMs, Technical Sales, and Sales Admin teamsMaintain and grow product knowledge across the team, ensuring technical updates on radio and intercom solutions are cascaded effectivelyIdentify and implement process improvements to streamline efficiency, particularly in quote-to-order workflowsProvide reports on departmental performance to management, highlighting successes and development areasEnsure knowledge-sharing between traveling BDMs and internal teams is structured and effectiveKey Performance Indicators:Individual and Team Performance Metrics:Profit and profit margin targetsConversion rate across the sales funnelPipeline value and qualityNew business acquisition (volume and value)Existing customer growth and retentionSLA adherence (quote turnaround, response times, order processing)Order processing accuracyData quality and completenessManagement & Leadership Metrics:Team engagement scoresTeam development progress (skill development, career progression, training completion)Essential Skills:Proven sales and sales management experience within a technical B2B environmentMotorsport, broadcast communications or live events industry experience highly desirableAbility to quickly grasp technical concepts related to bespoke communications solutions (radio/intercom systems)Experience managing diverse sales teams, including remote/field-based and office-based personnelStrong capability in translating between technical requirements and commercial solutionsTrack record of implementing sales process improvements and driving CRM/systems adoptionExceptional people skills, with ability to coach and develop team members at different experience levelsStrategic thinking combined with hands-on problem-solving approachExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishBenefits:Career progression and development opportunities. xwwtmva Competitive pay.Private healthcare.Job Type:Full Time, in house
