Joining our friendly and hard-working family as a Branch Sales Manager willgive you the opportunity to showcase your commercial capability, develop customerrelationships, and play a key leadership role within the branch team.You will support the Branch Manager by driving strategic goals, leading the salesfunction, and managing a team responsible for delivering customer spend, profitabilityand year-on-year growth. The role includes responsibility for a predetermined ledger ofaccounts, delivering excellent customer service and capturing new businessopportunities across the region.You will be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring the team handles enquiriesfrom initial contact through to invoicing, while using Keyline’s tools to manage quotationsand high standards. Most of all, you’ll find a place where you candevelop and grow your career, not just in Keyline but the wider Travis PerkinsGroup…you will discover your true potential and have a genuine say in our future.Main Duties and Responsibilities:No one day will be the same as a Branch Sales Manager.Drive sales and continually review products, markets and customer data to identifyopportunities for profitable growth.Manage your allocated ledger of customers, creating strategic customer plansalongside account managers to maximise spend and margin.Ensure the team manages enquiries professionally from initial contact to invoice,identifying material requirements, offering alternatives and upselling whereappropriate.Proactively utilise Keylines CRM system (Sales Hub) and maintain compliance withKPI requirements.Liaise regularly with key suppliers to understand market conditions and negotiatecommercial opportunities.Oversee CSA creation and price management across branch ledgers, using MIreports to monitor profitability and margin performance.Optimise customer relationships and supplier deals to leverage business and protectbranch margin.Conduct regular MI reviews to analyse customer performance, identify gaps inpurchases, and align findings with customer growth plans.Drive high performance among the sales team by developing skills, improvingcommercial awareness and strengthening customer relationships.Develop the internal sales team, setting targets, monitoring performance andsupporting career progression through regular 1-to-1s.Maintain a strong understanding of market pricing, product availability andcommercial factors impacting salesKnowledge/Skills:EssentialExcellent verbal communicationStrong customer service skillsCommitted to delivering success for customers, colleagues and the widerbusinessEnthusiastic about growth, development and continuous improvementCommercial awareness and ability to work with financial informationAbility to identify and respond to customer needsStrong organisational skills; able to plan and prioritise for self and othersAbility to work independentlyStrong negotiation skillsIT literacy, including use of CRM tools and management systemsGood numerical abilityMotivated, driven and confident decision-makerTeam player with a collaborative approachPreferredKnowledge of civils, drainage or wider construction industryUnderstanding of business P&L performanceExperience interpreting management information and sales reportsConfidence articulating product ranges conciselyReady to take the next step in your career?
