This exciting Senior Analytical Chemist opportunity would be well suited to an Analyst with several years’ experience developing GC-MS and GC-FID methods looking to take a step up and secure a role in a fantastic business who place significant emphasis on employee wellbeing.Benefits: Enhanced 7.5% matched pension, private healthcare, flexible working, 35 working hours per week with an early finish on FridaysRole / DescriptionReviewing current laboratory processes to understand improvement areasDeveloping, troubleshooting and optimising GC-MS and GC-FID methodsManaging multiple improvement projectsWorking with the Analytical Manager to prioritise the workload of the teamMentoring and training of Analysts in the teamReverse engineering of competitor chemicals to determine compositionMaintenance and troubleshooting of GC-MS and GC-FID instruments.RequirementsSignificant, recent industrial experience developing GC-MS and GC-FID methodsExperience carrying out analytical process improvement projectsDemonstrable experience of mentoring and training AnalystsExperience in an ISO accredited laboratory would be highly advantageousExcellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a multitude of departmentsAble to multi-task and change priorities quickly depending on business need.
