**The Analytical Development Chemist Role**

You will undertake analytical projects in a professional and safe manner in order to produce results to the required quality and within the time and cost budgets allocated by the company, working within the QC department to ensure the timely delivery ofprojects within PR&D.

You will work with the Manager and PR&D Project leaders to ensure work undertaken is within the overall scope of project delivery as well as work with colleagues in order to ensure that individual and company performance targets are met.

**Responsibilities as the Analytical Development Chemist will include**:

- To personally perform, and to help other Q.C staff perform, qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of various materials associated with the company’s operations
- To assist the Manager with all Quality Control operations of CGAM Ltd
- To ensure that all project related tasks as set by the Manager or PRD Team Leaders are carried out in a timely fashion
- Plan project work and communicate timelines to enable Project Chemists and Team Leaders correctly and accurately base line plan projects
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out
- Manage workload and project documentation to level suitable for external examination.
- To present weekly and daily reports, both written and verbal, to both customers and work colleagues
- To complete, when requested, time and project reports and records in such a manner as is agreed in Standard Operating Procedures active in the department at the time
- To keep up to date with current practices and relevant scientific progress pertinent to the practice of analytical chemistry
- To meet with customers and their representatives as may be required from time to time
- To work in a clean, safe and tidy manner adhering to company policy on 5S

**Skills and experience needed to become a Analytical Development Chemist**:

- Qualified to degree level (BSc)
- Qualifiedto Masters or Doctorate level (MSc / PhD) in a Chemistry related vocation (preferable)
- 1 Years relevant experience (preferable)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to get on with others and be a team-player
- Ability to commute reliably to laboratory base
- Ability to work extended hours on occasions when required
- Sufficiently flexible to be able travel on business if required
- Proficient in use of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, chemical structure drawing and literature searching tools such as Chemdraw, ACD Labs and Reaxys
- Literate and numerate in the English Language
- Competent in writing technical reports
