As a county council our remit is substantial, varied and complex - but ourpurpose is simple -we exist to serve the people of Lancashire by working as efficiently and innovatively aspossible to prioritise the services they need and want.Job Role/Key responsibilitiesThis role is based in the Schools Finance Team, which provides financial support to over 600 schools acrossLancashire.The responsibilities include:• supporting schools' leaders in financial management;• supportively challenging schools in setting and maintaining balanced budgets;• producing longer term financial forecasts and budget monitoring reports for school governors;• reconciliation of financial management system.Job RequirementsRole holders will require a level of technical skill to provide direction to stakeholders.You may be required to work from other locations and undertake, wherever required other responsibilitieswhere this is commensurate with the post. We are working a mix of home and office working therefore you willbe required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection.You will be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within the remit of your area ofwork, as directed by service managementAny questions please be in touch.
