Job Title: Senior Operator (Fusion) Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 pa Location: Cheshire Reference: J3135 Contact: Telephone: 0141 647 6688 Categories: , , Purpose of Role The operation of production machinery and completion of non-machinery tasks, within the quality focused high volume and demanding continuous production environment. You will be exposed to 5S and Lean Principles and will be expected to comply and exhibit behaviours consistent with 5S and Lean. We are looking for a self-starter, able to be cross-trained on multiple pieces of equipment (high speed and low speed), a team player, organised, and results oriented with exceptional work habits. Physical stamina, flexibility in work schedule, and decision-making ability are also required. Key Activities Core Operates production equipment in a fast-paced environment Ensure all work is produced timely and accurately Completes quality checks Makes minor adjustments to machines where necessary Proactively assists other areas as necessary Understand lean manufacturing tools Active engagement in all 5s activities Competencies Professional and positive attitude Ability to operate Fusion Insertion machines Organisational and communication skills Ability to work in controlled highly regulated production environment Capability of working as an individual and as part of a team High level of accuracy Demonstrates flexible approach towards working hours and duties Team focus Effectively communicates with internal team, sharing key information in an appropriate format Takes ownership and responsibility for what they do/request of others and manages self proactively Takes responsibility for managing own development Contributes to meetings and brings suggestions and solutions to issues Proactively support other members of the team Strives to be a key part of they team delivering the company objectives Financial Ensures accuracy of system input in accordance with procedures Responsible for ensuring all possible jobs are processed within the system Ensures waste is minimised Understands the financial impact of the role Strategy & Leadership Understands the department strategy Works towards the department strategy Understands and works towards the SMART objectives Key Skill Responsible for the shift rota and booking of holidays Advising the Operational Relationship Managers of potential issues within the section Provide support and training to other members of the team ** ** This position has now been filled, but has been left on our website as we may have similar vacancies to this on an ongoing basis.
