Location: Facilities Assistant Location: Canterbury and Whitstable Pay rate: £12.30 Contract: Temporary position Hours: 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9am-2:30pm Benefits: weekly pay, up to 28 days annual leave, access to free eyecare vouchers, dedicated consultant to support you throughout your role, temp of the month awards and access to well-being platforms which also includes discounts on retails/restaurants. Key Responsibilities: You will mainly be based at Canterbury, however, occasionally you may have to travel to the Whitstable premises. Inspection of premises and equipment. Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks and replacing light bulbs. Ensure facilities are clean. Manage supplies and advise Facilities Manager of items needed to complete works in a timely manner. Respond to urgent maintenance calls from Facilities Manager/Centre Manager and address issues promptly. Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Carry out painting around centre when required. Maintenance of the exterior grounds of the properties (e.g. weeding, sweeping and general maintenance). Carry out monthly recordings of office electricity meters. Requirements: Previous experience in facilities or a similar role is required. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
