A global Robotics manufacturer is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their team to cover breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance across the UKThe ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Engineer with a strong robotics background. Operating across the UK and Ireland, you will be paid door-to-door and all necessary expenses will be paid for by the company whilst working away, along with an impressive company car providedThis is a fantastic opportunity with a multi-national Robotics company who supply to some the biggest names in the world Role: Field Service Engineer Office Location: West MidlandsCoverage Area: UK & Ireland Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + great OTE opportunity + Company carHours: 37.5 per weekBenefits: An impressive car provided + fuel card - Great OTE opportunity - Medical care (family) - All necessary expenses paid whilst away - Commission on referrals   The key responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer role will be:Proficient in diagnosing and resolving faults across a wide range of equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and control & safety systemsSupport the installation, programming, and testing of new systems, as well as modifications and enhancements to existing equipment.Provide breakdown assistance both remotely (via telephone) and on-site at customer locations.Participate in regular company internal training sessions to maintain and expand technical knowledge in line with new products and services.Take part in the 24-hour support hotline on a rota basis, offering telephone troubleshooting and out-of-hours call-out support.Collaborate effectively with internal departments to deliver results on time, ensuring customer satisfaction while supporting the company’s long-term objectives.Assist with service work, preventative maintenance, and mechanical/electrical upgrades, working to achieve key service objectives such as first-time fix rates and rapid response times.The key requirements of the Field Service Engineer will be:Genuine passion for machinery, automation, and robotics, with a strong interest in programming 6-axis robots.Some exposure to PLC controls and programming techniques, as well as fault-finding skills — advantageous but not essential.Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, with proven ability to fault-find, problem-solve, and identify issues effectively.Flexible approach to work, including the ability to travel and work away at short notice across the UK and Ireland.Skilled in managing customer conflict with professionalism, demonstrating excellent time management, and effectively planning and prioritising multiple tasks and projects while ensuring compliance with all regulationsLevel 3 qualified mechanically or electrically (necessary)Please apply online or contact for a confidential conversationExecutive Network Group, encompassing Technical Network, Network HR, HSE Network & Procurement People, sourcing mid to senior level management for automotive, aerospace, engineering and manufacturing industrial sectors, with a portfolio of services including executive search, advertising, MRO for permanent and interim contract recruitment services
