We are looking to appoint an Outreach Practitioner for the Autism Spectrum Education Team (ASET). This is a full-time post based on term time working with an additional five days for training and development. It is an opportunity to become part of a wider team predominantly focused on supporting children aged three to sixteen to successfully access their mainstream school or setting within North Lincolnshire. The team works closely with behaviour support, complex behaviour, educational psychology and education inclusion offering you a range of opportunities to share best practice and to develop and learn new skills.The Team works with children and young people either in receipt of a diagnosis of Autism, or Autism and ADHD combined, as well as those presenting with social communication and interaction presentations who may or may not go on to receive a diagnosis.The Outreach Practitioners work in and with schools and early years settings to develop their understanding of need and ensuring the right support is in place. Outreach Practitioners may have consultation meetings with schools, advise staff, observe children in the school environment, complete direct work or attend multi-agency meetings. There are opportunities to co-create and deliver training alongside colleagues within the team and across the other areas of school inclusion. The Team employs a solution focused approach working together with children, young people and professionals to enable success and progress.If you can demonstrate an excellent understanding of neurodiversity and are experienced in supporting children and young people with a range of needs to achieve positive outcomes, then we would welcome your application.
