About Us We are looking for a skilled, motivated and committed practitioner to join our team at Chichester Nursery School, a large Local Authority Maintained Nursery School in the heart of Chichester, working with children from 3-4 years of age. You will be working as part of a team in our large, open plan environment and a big garden area, ensuring an exciting and stimulating learning environment for young children. Job Details Salary: £26,409 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Part-Time (mornings) Location: Chichester Nursery School, St James' Road, Chichester, West Sussex PO19 7AB Interviews: Tuesday 3rd June 2025 What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role you will need to: be an excellent Early Years practitioner, with a strong understanding of how children learn in a free-flow environment and have a sound knowledge of how to support and extend children’s learning through planned learning experiences, as well as “in the moment”. You will also be confident in assessing children’s progress and identifying gaps and next steps in their development. This is a term-time only post for 18.5 hours a week. The working hours are 12.30pm to 5.30pm on a Wednesday (to include an hour an a half for our weekly staff meeting) and Thursday and Friday 8.30am-4pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunchbreak on these full days. You should be qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare and have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Keyworker in a childcare setting.
