We have an amazing opportunity for a Managing Editor to join one of the UK's most respected B2B titles, a multi-award-winning brand with a proud -year heritage and a reputation for editorial excellence. This is a crucial role, working closely with the Editor-in-Chief to oversee the day-to-day operations of the magazine and lead a talented editorial team. The position is hybrid, 2 days a week in their offices across London and the South East, with occasional travel to events. This role can be considered on a job share basis for suitable applicants. Key responsibilities include: ·Oversee the print magazine, product and supplier coverage, and special reports, ensuring efficient planning, workflow, and production. ·Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, authority, and fairness across all content, while mentoring and managing a team of editors and journalists. ·Be an ambassador for the brand, and represent the publication at industry events, panels, and conferences. We are looking for three key areas of expertise from the successful candidate: ·Editorial rigour - exceptional commissioning, editing and rewriting skills, with the ability to uphold the highest standards across news, features and opinion pieces. ·Leadership - proven experience in managing and mentoring editorial teams, with the confidence to coach and support others. ·B2B publishing experience - any exposure to food & drink or FMCG sectors would be an advantage, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, weekly publishing environment.
