Learning Support Assistant – secondary Learning Support Assistant (Wirral area) Salary: £101.40–£115 per day (depending on experience)Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term / Temp-to-permStart Date: Immediate or January 2026 About the Role:We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in secondary schools across the wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a school setting. As an LSA, you will be working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their potential. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEND or learning difficulties. Assist in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Support teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation. Encourage pupils’ social and emotional development. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate. Ensure safeguarding and behaviour policies are followed at all times. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred). A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively. A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. Right to work in the UK.
