Job description Are you an inspirational and qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is looking to have a positive impact on the lives, development and progress of young people? If so, we want to hear from you today Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools across in South Shields on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. About the Role: The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD. The role will also involve planning and delivering intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this. The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required. About the School: The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in South Shields There are opportunities to support the pupils across the School from EYFS-Year 6. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils. Pay, Hours and Contract: Pay – Between £93-120 per day Hours – Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract. Start Date – ASAP Location – South Shields Experience/Qualifications and Requirements: QTS, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 3 Childcare-based Qualification Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
