You will work with multidisciplinary teams - including mechanical, electrical, and production - to ensure control systems are robust, safe, and meet all regulatory and operational requirements.Key Responsibilities - Senior Control Systems Engineer:Lead the design, development, and optimisation of control systems software using MATLAB/Simulink and StateflowPerform system-level simulations and automatic code generation for deployment to hardwareIntegrate, calibrate, and manage sensor systems including GPS, IMUs, altimeters, and instrumentationAnalyse vessel performance data and support on-water test programmesDevelop and maintain internal best practices for control systems developmentEnsure systems comply with regulations and company standardsMentor junior engineers and provide leadership within the control systems functionEssential Criteria - Senior Control Systems Engineer:University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline3-5 years' experience in control systems software development, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or high-performance engineeringProficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Simulink CoderStrong knowledge of Model-Based Design methodologies and Control TheoryExperience with data communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, RS-485, RS-232, UDPExperience in integrating and calibrating sensorsFamiliarity with agile software development methodologiesExcellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skillsThe Opportunity: This is a senior-level position within a growing engineering organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
