Trainee Sensory & Communication Support Assistant – Full Time – Sunderland This full-time trainee position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, teamwork, and supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs.You’ll be joining a specialist setting where every child’s learning pathway is personalised, routines are clear, and the staff team are incredibly supportive.Your role will include: • Helping pupils use visual supports, schedules, and communication tools • Encouraging emotional regulation through sensory activities • Supporting calm transitions throughout the day • Building strong, trusting relationshipsYou’ll suit this role if you: • Stay calm under pressure • Enjoy working in a consistent, routine-based environment • Have experience in care, youth work, sports coaching, nursery, or similar • Are eager to learn and develop SEND skillsWith Protocol Education you get: • Weekly PAYE pay • Free CPD and online training • Free Thrive training • A consultant who acts like part of your teamIf you want a rewarding, hands-on role where your work truly matters, this is for you.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
