To provide skill and expertise to carry out a wide variety of tasks involved in testing parts and assemblies for F1 cars and other engineering projects. The test work ranges from prototype build to performance, legality and structural test of everything from individual components to full vehicles  Main Duties:  To carry out all forms of testing on or off-site for which the department has responsibility or involvement, including build and maintenance of test rigs and associated equipment and assembly of items under test  To ensure that sensors are correctly calibrated prior to performing any tests  To ensure that test reports (when required) and test schedules for all tests that are undertaken are produced to the correct format and checked prior to issue  To ensure that predefined test procedures are upheld and test rigs are operated and tests are performed in a safe manner  To maintain test rigs where necessary and report any maintenance requirements that could result in injury to the user or other staff  To assist with all activities undertaken by the Prototype and Test department when asked to do so  To co-operate with department colleagues by sharing knowledge gained in previous tests and projects, this should be done in a friendly and helpful manner  To liaise with all other departments within the company as required in order to carry out test work efficiently and correctly  To sign off pass-off test documentation for components and assemblies tested in the department.  Test Cells  To build, maintain and operate the department’s rotating rigs in all test cells  To build, maintain and operate the department’s pass-off rigs  To support the department’s involvement in all forms of off-site testing, such as AP brake testing, engine supplier liaison and other on- or off-track events  To maintain test cells and associated equipment, including cooling rigs, electronics installations etc    Key Accountabilities:   Fulfil all organisational expectations, including but not limited to the following:   Understand and work in line with Williams Values & Behaviours, encouraging others to do the same.  Ensure understanding of and compliance with health and safety obligations.  Maintain personal high standards of behaviour and conduct, being a positive ambassador for the department.  Ensure you adhere to brand rules and maintain high standards of department presentation.  Work to quality standards and identify and contribute ways to continuously improve department and personal performance.  Ensure understanding of cost cap rules and requirements.    Core Competencies:  Competent in writing & following procedures  Delivering a high standard of work & attention to detail  Competent using office 365  Up to date with current regulations  Can follow Electrical & Mechanical Technical Drawings    Qualifications and Experience Level:  Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Automotive engineering, or previous experience  Worked in Motorsport, F1 / Non F1 or Automotive  Experience working in a test environment   Experience using Milling & Turning equipment    This job description is not exhaustive, and the job holder will be required to carry out from time-to-time tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within their capabilities.  Company Description For almost 50 years, Atlassian Williams Racing has been at the forefront of one of the fastest sports on the planet, being one of the top three most successful teams in history competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
