We’re looking for compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in Addlestone. The school supports children with Autism and profound multiple learning difficulties, offering personal care and a range of therapies, including Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Pathological Demand Avoidance – Learning Support Assistant This is an incredible opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in: Clinical Psychology Speech and Language Therapy Occupational Therapy Educational Psychology SEN Teaching What You’ll Do: Support children with PDA and Autism in one-to-one or small group settings. Use creative and personalised strategies to help manage emotional and behavioural challenges. Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a holistic learning environment. Provide sensitive personal care and foster a nurturing, safe space for students to thrive. What We’re Looking For: A passion for working with children with additional needs, especially PDA. Patience, empathy, and creativity in your approach. Excellent communication and the ability to build trust. Experience in SEN or education (helpful but not essential – full training provided).
