Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency specializing in mental health services, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Specialty Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry to join our team in Dudley, West Midlands . Position Overview:  As a Specialty Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialised care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and addictive behaviors. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with compassion and expertise, helping them on their journey to recovery and improved mental well-being. This role is available to start as soon as possible for an initial period of 1 month. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with substance use disorders, including alcohol, drugs, and other addictive behaviors. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs and circumstances of each patient, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities. Provide medication management and pharmacological interventions as appropriate, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Offer psychoeducation and support to patients and their families, helping them understand addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies. Participate in group therapy sessions, counseling sessions, and other treatment modalities to support patients in their recovery journey. Collaborate with community resources, support groups, and external agencies to facilitate ongoing care and support for patients post-discharge. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Qualifications: Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Completion of specialty training in Psychiatry and certification as a Specialist Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry. Demonstrated experience working in the field of addiction psychiatry, with a strong understanding of substance use disorders and addictive behaviors. Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
