Job description Nursery Practitioner - SE6 - 40 hours per week - £24,000-£27,000 This busy and friendly nursery is conveniently located on the A21, a few minutes walk from the High Street shops. For your convenience, the nursery is also only a 5-7 minutes walk from both Catford and Catford Bridge train stations The nursery team ethic is very much that we can never stop learning from each other in order to achieve our shared visions and goals. The nursery provide regular support, training, and development opportunities for all team members to learn and grow to be the best that they can be. This lovely nursery is looking for a new full time member of staff to join them What we can offer you (benefits): •Salary: £12-£12.50 per hour •In house trainings •Performance appreciation •Pension contribution •Childcare discount •Annual well being allowance •Competitive salary •28 days annual leave •Additional salary review What we need from you: •Level 2 qualification in childcare or higher •Commitment •Passion to deliver outstanding childcare •Ability to work within a team •Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding Your duties will include: •Adhere to all company policies and procedures •Contribute to a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage •Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is accurately maintained for key children. •Undertake the role of key person as described in the policy. •Prepare and supervise activities. •Supervise and support children at all times. •Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is provided to all children, parents, staff and visitors •Ensure that all children are kept safe. •Notify Designated Officer of any safeguarding concerns. •Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, colleagues and visitors. •Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers •Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained. •Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and health and safety throughout the nursery. •Work as part of a team to ensure the company's values are maintained. •Attend monthly staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required. •Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager
