Wellbeing Assistant Job Title: Wellbeing Assistant (Primary Alternative Provision) Location: L23, Liverpool Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Negotiable) About Us: We are a nurturing and inclusive Alternative Provision based in L23, supporting primary-aged children who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. Our small, specialised setting offers a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs can rebuild trust in education and thrive both emotionally and academically. The Role: We are seeking a patient, empathetic, and motivated Wellbeing Assistant to join our team from September 2025. You will play a key role in supporting the emotional, social, and behavioural development of pupils, helping them to feel safe, understood, and ready to engage in learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group emotional and behavioural support to pupils throughout the school day. Assist with the delivery of wellbeing and social skills programmes and activities. Build trusting relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model. Support behaviour regulation using consistent and trauma-informed approaches. Work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure pupils’ individual needs are met. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision or similar setting – desirable. A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly as part of a dedicated team.
