What you’ll be doing You will be working in a long-term locum contract at an acute medicine department based at an NHS trust in Manchester. The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 49 bedded unit that manages acutely unwell medical patients who cannot otherwise be managed through Same Day Emergency Care. You will be working as a locum consultant in acute medicine and covering an average of 10 PAs per week. You should be forward thinking, proactive and able to work well with the emergency department, general medical specialties, primary care, diagnostics, and critical care teams. The team has forged close links with the department to be able to provide the best possible care to patients.
