Application Support Engineer - Azure Cloud | .NET / C# | New Team Build | £85,000 + PackageLocation: London Sector: Financial Services / Insurance Permanent - OnsiteWe are partnering with a leading financial services, specialty insurance organisation undertaking a major modernisation of its entire technology estate. The business is moving away from legacy on prem applications (WPF, Windows services, internal platforms) & building a new Azure cloud first architecture to support next generation underwriting & operational systems.As part of this transformation, a brand-new Application Support function is being created.We are hiring two Application Support Analysts who will sit close to engineering, work directly with modern .NET platforms, & play a critical role in establishing operational reliability across a rapidly evolving landscape.This environment is high performing, fast moving & suited to individuals who enjoy technical ownership, autonomy & building new operational capability from the ground up.The Role:Working alongside engineering, cloud & infrastructure teams, you will support a modernising Azure based application stack & take ownership of second & third line application support across:Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Event Grid, API Management.NET / C# microservices, APIs & integration layersCI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) & deployment troubleshootingApplication monitoring & observability using tools such as Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics, dashboards & alert rulesTriaging & resolving incidents across data pipelines, messaging services, background jobs & authentication flowsBuilding operational automation, runbooks & proactive diagnosticsDefining SLAs, service workflows, triage structures & knowledge documentationYou will initially embed within the development organisation to understand the new systems being built.
