Your newpany Coventry City Council is seeking five experienced Advanced Practitioners to join our West Social Worker Caseholding Team. This plays a vital role supporting children and families across a range of statutory interventions including:Children in Need (CIN)Child Protection Plans (CP)Looked After Children (LAC)Section 20 amodationPre-proceedings and care proceedingsYour new role You’ll be delivering high-quality social work services in line with legislative requirements and the Social Work England Code of Practice, working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to achieve the best oues for children and young people.Manageplex caseloads involving CIN, CP, LAC, and court workLead and contribute to multi-agency planning and review meetingsUndertake direct work with children and families using solution-focused approachesPrepare high-quality reports for conferences, courts, and panelsMaintain accurate and timely case recordsSupport exploitation and missing functions, including return home interviewsWork flexibly, including outside office hours when requiredWhat you'll need to succeed In-depth understanding of children’s legislation and statutory guidanceExperience in child protection, looked after children, and court proceedingsFamiliarity with assessment and intervention modelsKnowledge of equal opportunities and diversity in practiceAbility to incorporate research and theory into practiceSkills & Abilities:Strongmunication and report-writing skillsAbility to managepeting priorities and work under pressureSkilled in conflict resolution and direct work with childrenConfident in using professional authority appropriatelyAbility to work autonomously and seek supervision when neededWhat you'll get in return Low case loads Access to FREE CPD training sessions run monthly by Hays Quick and Easy Registration Process Free DBS ServiceReferral Scheme, £250 for each referral placedAccess to both nationwide and global social work opportunities
