The role will include:

- Devising & delivering interventions to children/young people, their families, parents/carers and victims.
- Being responsible for managing Orders/Out of Court Disposals in line with legislation and national policy, including: Youth Justice National Standards & Case Management guidance and local policy.
- Working cooperatively with colleagues from your own and other services, including the Police, Probation, Courts, secure estate and Children's Services.
- Providing high quality reports and assessments to the Courts to enable them to make appropriate decisions about sentencing.
- Representing the service in professional settings including the Courts, Secure Estate and meetings.

We are looking for an individual who wants to make a positive difference and who has experience and skills/abilities that include:

- Casework responsibility, undertaking complex assessments, and analysing risk.
- Forming and sustaining relationships with children/young people and their families/carers.
- Devising and delivering programmes of intervention with children/young people and their families/carers.
- Writing reports to deadlines and at a standard suitable for scrutiny by Courts.
- Self-led time management skills, and the ability to prioritise their workload whilst dealing with conflicting demands and stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills; verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Confidence and ability to interact in a wide range of professional settings and with service users and their families/carers.
