Supply Chain Manager- Lancing Are you a Supply Chain Manager looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client, a leading organisation in their field, is seeking a talented and experienced individual to join their team as a Supply Chain Manager. This is a senior management position where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's supply chain operations. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with the organisation's business goals and objectives. You will lead a team of procurement, planning, and warehouse professionals, guiding them towards achieving operational efficiency and excellence. You'll have the opportunity to identify process improvement areas, enhance operational efficiency, and drive cost reduction initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Manage the order fulfilment process, from order receipt to dispatch, ensuring smooth customer service, planning, purchasing, and warehousing operations. Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. Optimise inventory levels to balance product availability and minimise carrying costs, implementing inventory control measures and demand forecasting techniques. Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products, while optimising routes and minimising costs. Plan production processes, balancing customer needs with production workload and capacity. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks and disruptions, implementing strategies to minimise their impact on operations. Maintain and uphold company health and safety standards. Supervise staff workloads, distribute and monitor the quality of work, and manage staff holidays and absences. Monitor and report using the company's business information systems. Work with HR and senior managers to implement company policies and goals within your team. Provide support to internal and external sales representatives. Qualifications and Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets. Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management systems, and transportation management systems. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. A proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional growth. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A passion for supply chain management and a drive for excellence.
