Are you a born leader looking for a new opportunity? Our client is seeking a committed Consultant who specialises in Old Age Psychiatry to join their fantastic team. The hospital is based in the East Midlands, a beautiful peaceful countryside location where many people in the UK visit to relax and recharge. The post holder is expected to undertake administrative duties associated with the care of patients and to promptly record clinical activities accurately and comprehensively. He /she is also expected to maintain professional registration with the Mental Health Act Section 12 (2) approval, and to abide by professional codes of conduct. The appointee must have the following to be eligible for this post:•Full GMC registration (ESSENTIAL)• MRCPsych or equivalent • GMC's Specialist Registration or Specialist Registrar within six months of completing CCT • Publications in the field of psychiatry• Ability to relate well to elderly patients, carers and relatives • Team player – to fit in with truly multi-disciplinary team• Experience of training psychiatric Core trainees and multidisciplinary staffAdditional InformationThe Liaison Psychiatry Service collaborates closely with other mental health staff based within the acute Hospitals including specialist alcohol nurses, dementia nurses and some sessional psychological therapists undertaking work with patients who have long term conditions or specifically for frequent attenders.Benefits• Generous Relocation upto £15k and Welcome packages upto £10k• Opportunities to pursue areas of specialist interest e.g. ECT, rTMS, gender dysmorphia, prison psychiatry, ketamine infusion etc.• Flexible hours/ job share opportunities• Access to a dedicated research and innovation team• Mentorship and Undergraduate education opportunitiesIf you want more information on this position then please apply nowWe are often appointed by NHS Trusts to help recruit for their vacancies.
