Description Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: Worcestershire & WarwickshireEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to £42,000 + comprehensive packageRegional Civil Engineering Contractor About the OpportunityOur client, a respected and established regional civil engineering contractor, is seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Operating across Worcestershire and Warwickshire, the company delivers a range of infrastructure, highways, groundworks, and public realm projects, and is expanding due to sustained project growth. As the recruitment partner supporting this appointment, we are keen to speak with early-career Quantity Surveyors looking to develop their experience within a supportive, reputable civil engineering environment. The RoleThe successful candidate will work alongside senior commercial staff to support the financial and contractual control of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:Assisting with cost planning, measurement, and valuationsSupporting the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentationAssisting with subcontractor procurement, assessment, and managementMonitoring site progress, costs, variations, and forecastsContributing to monthly commercial reports and final accountsWorking within NEC or other civil engineering contract formsCollaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients About You:1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or constructionWorking towards or holding a relevant qualification (HND/HNC, BSc Quantity Surveying, or equivalent)Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skillsOrganised, proactive, and motivated to progress within the civil engineering sectorFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites What Our Client OffersSalary up to £42,000, depending on experienceAttractive package including car or allowance, pension, and other company benefitsClear career progression opportunitiesSupport and funding toward professional accreditation (e.g., RICS)Friendly and collaborative team culture
