Locum Senior Radiographer Location: Kent Pay: £20 - £30 per hour Client Pay: It's a Direct Pay Mechanism About Client: Our client Trust provides healthcare services across East Kent, including different hospitals. Job Summary: Department: Imaging Department (General X-ray Areas) Responsibilities: Manage and perform radiographic examinations, correlate practice with Directorate protocols, train and supervise junior staff and trainees, work independently during out-of-hours duties. Main Duties: Assist senior Radiographic staff with day-to-day management and function of radiological sciences. Supervise and support junior staff; ensure an efficient and high-quality service. Manage and report equipment/power failures as appropriate. Promote and participate in clinical audits. Conduct radiographic examinations to an acceptable standard and seek guidance as needed. Adhere to the ALARA principle and ensure safety in the use of ionizing radiation. Produce high-quality, accurately labelled images. Complete mandatory training and demonstrate competency in equipment use. Participate in appraisal processes and full shift system, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Utilize Patient Administration System and Radiological Sciences technology (e.g., PACS). Application Requirements: 18 months (about 1 and a half years) post-Degree/DCR(R) qualification experience, BSc (Honours) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. NHS experience. Minimum 18 months (about 1 and a half years) post-qualification experience, evidence of a wide range of general work. Experience in other modalities. Extensive anatomical knowledge, understanding of pathological processes. Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, decision-making, leadership, management and supervisory skills, excellent radiographic skills. Uphold and model Trust values, full HCPC registration.
