Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer – Treatment (Yorkshire) Location: Yorkshire Contract Type: Locum / Agency Position Pay: £26 – £30 per hour (potentially higher depending on experience) – umbrella payments accepted Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer to join a leading Radiotherapy Department in Yorkshire . This is an agency position ideal for a motivated and adaptable professional confident in delivering high-quality treatment using advanced radiotherapy technology. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centred radiotherapy treatment in accordance with departmental and national standards. Operate Varian linear accelerators and utilise the ARIA oncology information system. Collaborate effectively with oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow radiographers to ensure precise treatment delivery. Participate in daily quality assurance, imaging verification, and workflow optimisation. Provide compassionate care and clear communication throughout each patient’s treatment journey. Requirements: HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer. Previous UK radiotherapy treatment experience at Band 6 level (minimum 12 months preferred). Proficient in ARIA (Varian) record-and-verify systems and comfortable working with modern treatment platforms such as TrueBeam, Halcyon, or Clinac . Familiarity with Eclipse treatment-planning systems is advantageous. Excellent teamwork skills and adaptability within a multidisciplinary setting.
