Doncaster Sheffield Airport is preparing to relaunch and in preparation for this we are seeking to appoint a Manager of Air Traffic Engineering to be part of new and exciting team who support the airport to open and grow. We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Engineering Manager to lead and manage the Airport Air Traffic Control Engineering department. This critical role ensures the provision of a safe, compliant, and efficient service that supports airport operations at the highest level. You will design, implement, and review a robust planned maintenance programme for Air Traffic Control equipment, guaranteeing continuous communication and navigational services. Safety of aircraft—both in flight and on the ground—will be at the forefront of all operations, with 24-hour support provided to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Key responsibilities include: Develop and manage the airport’s Air Traffic Engineering maintenance plan, ensuring compliance with CAA standards and the airport’s Safety Management System. Act as the ANSP authorised maintenance representative in accordance with CAP670, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders. Oversee budget planning, OPEX/CAPEX expenditure, and manage contracts for engineering services, including preparation of equipment specifications and tender documents. Ensure a fully CAA-compliant maintenance programme for all ATC systems, maintaining accurate documentation, approvals, licences, and fault reports. Monitor system performance and availability, identify trends, and implement service improvements. Initiate NOTAM actions when required. Develop and maintain a training and competence assessment programme for engineers, ensuring compliance with CAA and EU regulations. Review and manage equipment safety documentation, acting as acceptance signatory for new systems. Promote safe working practices and risk assessments within the department, ensuring the safety and security of all ATC systems. Maintain adequate stock levels of consumable spares to support planned and restorative maintenance. Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by airport management.  The successful candidate: You will have a passion for aviation and a desire to be part of a developing Air Traffic Control team.
