SEND Learning Support WorkerLocation: Stonehouse, GL10 Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary About the Role Are you dedicated to supporting children with special needs in your community? If you’re eager to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you Axcis is working with a specialist institution supporting students aged 2-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential day-to-day support to students, creating a nurturing and engaging environment. Who We’re Looking For •Qualities: Flexible, reliable, resilient, empathetic and patient • Experience: Prior experience with children with special educational needs is essential; candidates should be comfortable working with students with autism, ADHD, complex needs and other learning disabilities. • Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students. What We Offer • Facilities: State-of-the-art amenities, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and a main site alongside a post-16 facility, providing an all-rounded learning environment. • Pay is £89 per day, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly payments every Friday. Ideal Candidate If you have experience in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you: • Nurseries or early years settings. • Colleges or further education environments. • Youth clubs or similar community-focused organisations. • Residential care or care home support roles. • Personal experience supporting someone with SEND (e.g., a family member). Graduates in fields such as sociology, psychology, sports, music, art and drama are also highly encouraged to apply Additional Information • Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. • Pay: £89 per day.
