Role Overview:  We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties, supporting their development and well-being. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents’ occupational performance, sensory processing, and developmental skills to inform individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including play-based therapy, sensory integration therapy, and cognitive-behavioral interventions, to address clients’ mental health needs and promote participation in meaningful activities. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams, including paediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, and educators, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients. Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops focusing on areas such as social skills development, emotional regulation, and self-care routines. Offer education and support to families and caregivers on strategies to promote their child’s development, independence, and well-being in home, school, and community settings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Requirements: Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Substantial experience working as an Occupational Therapist in paediatric mental health or a related setting, preferably at a Band 7 level. Specialized knowledge and expertise in paediatric occupational therapy, including developmental assessments, sensory integration, and play-based interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
